Our First Deal

In May of 2019, Paul was working construction sales at a roofing company when an individual in a bank found his card and gave him a call regarding a roof repair. While giving the quote, Paul inquired about any other properties they might have. She said yes. Upon inspecting the property, Paul discovered that the house was 104 years old and needed everything. However, it was in an area of town where ugly little houses were being torn down and replaced with large modern homes, so Paul made an offer. His plan was to fix up the house and rent it out to hold while the area continued to appreciate. Soon after purchasing the property, though, he realized that the rehabbed homes were sitting on the market for up to a year, but that the new homes were selling quickly. He decided to simply sell the home as-is on the open market, and the chunk of money he made helped him launch his investment career.
